New Delhi/Gurugram:A day after registering FIR in the case of gruesome murder of eight-year-old Pradyuman, a student of Ryan International school in Gurugram, a CBI team today visited the school to begin the probe.
The murder had sent shock waves across the country, and public outrage finally led to the handing over the case to CBI. Though Haryana government had announced entrusting the probe to CBI last week, the case was formally given to the premier investigating agency on Tuesday. The case was registered late last evening and a team was already in school premises today, sources said.
Pradyuman Thakur, a 2nd standard student at Bhondsi branch of Ryan International, had been brutally done to death in one of the school’s washroom on September 8. He was found lying in a pool of blood with his throat slit, and the body bearing cut marks at various places. The police have arrested Ashok Kumar, a bus conductor who has been working in the school for the past eight months, but the parents of the child were not satisfied, as they said they believed there more than what meets the eye in the bus conductor's killer theory.
They had demanded a CBI probe, and made their request to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar when he had visited them last week. Ryan School International owners Pinto family has been called for interrogation by the Gurugram police next week. (UNI)
