Disheartening! 20 year old Rape victim commits suicide

Kalaburagi: In a tragic incident, a 20-year-old rape victim allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at Gadilingali village of Chincholi taluk in this district, today. Police said, according to the complaint lodged by the family of the girl, who was agriculture daily wager, she was raped by a person Mallappa Bandimore on September 7 when she was sleeping with his sister in his house.

Disturbed by the incident, the victim today narrated the incident with the accused family and went to the field and consumed poison and died. Mallappa Bandimore was absconding and police began a search for apprehending him. Chincholi police registered a case. (UNI)
