Five year old girl injured in Pak firing on LoC

Jammu: A minor girl died, while a woman got injured as Pakistan fired unprovoked on the Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir. "Pakistani Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 0730 hrs in Bhimber Gali sector of Poonch along the Line of Control," a Defence Spokesman here said. He said the Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively.
 

Police, however, said that one Saida Kouser (5), resident of Behrooti Mohallah, Dadeyana died due to Pak shelling in the Balakote sector of Poonch, when a mortar landed in their house. Police further said that a woman identified as Shah Bi also suffered injuries in cross border firing at Naika area of Rajouri and rushed to the hospital. "Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri has ordered the closure of all schools near LoC in the district," said an official. Some of the civilians have also migrated to the camps, they added. (UNI)
