Govt decides to set up Teertha Kshetra Trust for Ram temple at Ayodhya: PM

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday made a suo motu statement in Lok Sabha and informed the House of People that the union cabinet has given its nod to set up the Trust that will work for construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya. 
"The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra will be formed.....This is the trust that was to be formed in line with the verdict of the Honourable Supreme Court of India I am happy to share with my fellow Indians that important decisions have been taken by cabinet with regard to Ram Janmabhoomi," Mr Modi said.
 
The cabinet took the decision in its meeting on Wednesday morning."These are in line with the verdict of the Honourable Supreme Court of India," he said adding decision has been to also allocate its share of the land to the Sunni Waqf Board.
 
"A request has been made to the UP government on this, and the state government has also agreed to honour the same," Prime Minister said.
 
The announcement in the House was received by thumping of desks by treasury bench and there was also Jai Shri Ram slogan chanting.(UNI)
