A Congress delegation led by Okram Ibobi Singh called on the Governor today and informed her that Secular Progressive Front (SPF) has been formed by INC, NPP, AITC and Independent under the leadership of Okram lbobi Singh. The present N Biren Singh government is now in the minority it was stated and hence a floor test should be done at
the earliest.
Mr Ibobi urged the Governor to summon the House in a couple of days to vote on the No
Confidence Motion moved against the present Council of Ministers.He said alternatively, the BJP government may be dismissed and to uphold the principle of democracy Ibobi Singh,leader of the SPF which commands the majority may be invited to form the government .
Mr Ibobi also submitted letters of support from all members of the Front ( INC, NPP, AITC, Independent MLAs).(UNI)
