Shankaracharya Swaroopanand passes away
He was 98.
Disciples were present around the seer when he breathed his last. As the sorrowful tidings spread, numerous devotees from adjoining areas rushed to the scene.
The mortal remains shall be placed in a palanquin for enabling people to pay their last respects to the spiritual leader having an international following. The funeral will in all probability be conducted on Monday.
The Shankaracharya was born at Dighori which is situated in Mahakoshal region’s present-day Seoni district. (UNI)
