Another blow to congress, HP govt shows signs of instability

New Delhi: Amid 'bickering' between Congress Government and party organisation in Himachal Pradesh, state Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today met Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Mr Singh headed to 10, Janpath residence of Ms Gandhi to have an audience with her. A tussle is going on between Himachal Pradesh Congress chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Mr Singh for the past few days. Assembly elections are also due in the state this year.
CM Virbhadara Singh had talks with Ms Gandhi's political advisor Ahmed Patel also last evening in which he lamented about the latter's behavior and way of approach.At the half-an-hour meet, Mr Singh requested the high command to spare him from contesting the upcoming assembly polls in the state under the leadership of the current organization and also under Mr Sukhu's unruly way of functioning. Prior to this, the HP CM had written to the Congress top brass about the infighting going on between the party leaders. (UNI)
