Sand artist Sudarshan creates world’s biggest sand santa face on Puri beach

Puri: International sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik today created the World's biggest sand Santa face with message “World Peace” on the Puri beach of Odisha on the eve of Christmas celebrations.He has created 25 feet height and 50 ft width of sand Santa face which will be placed in the Limca book of World record. The sand artist has also created a sand sculpture of
God Jesus in front of the Santa face. He has used about 600 tonnes of sand including coloured sand.
The master sculptor assisted by 40 of his students at the Sudarsan Sand Art Institute of Puri and they took nearly 3 days (35 hours) to build up the mammoth structure.The record making sculpture will be on display till January 1 next to allow thousandsof tourists and pilgrims who are in the temple town to have a glimpse of the marvellous structure.
Sudarsan had created many records in the Limca Book of Records including the World’s tallest Sand castle. So far the Padma Shri awardee sand artist has participated in more than 50 international sand sculpture championships and festivals around the World and won a number of accolades for the country.
