BSP announces two candidates for UP Assembly polls

Etawah: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has become the first political party in the state to announce candidates for 2022 Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.
The BSP has announced Ramesh Singh Yadav from Bitthur seat and Kalmesh Ambedkar from Bharthana (reserved) Assembly seat.
The name of Kalmesh Ambedkar was announced by Etawah District President of Bahujan Samaj Party Shilu Dohra here on Tuesday.
Ms Kamlesh Ambedkar, is the wife of Bhimrao Ambedkar, chief sector in-charge of Kanpur division.
In the year 2007, Kamlesh's husband Bhimrao Ambedkar has been a BSP MLA from Lakhna reserved seat, which has been absorbed in Bharthana reserved seat, but he could not get the taste of victory in the subsequent assembly elections.
Bharthana Secured Assembly is currently in the possession of BJP, where Mrs. Savitri Katheria of BJP is the MLA.
BSP district president Shilu Dohra claimed that the Bahujan Samaj Party will contest the 2022 Assembly elections with full force. Preparations are being made to field a candidate of Yadav or Shakya caste from Jaswantnagar in Shivpal Singh Yadav's constituency. (UNI)
