Earthquake rocks Patna and other districts of Bihar

Patna: An earthquake of moderate intensity of 5.4 on Richter scale rocked Patna and other parts of Bihar tonight.
Official sources said here that Earthquake of the intensity of 5.4 measured on Richter scale rocked Patna and other districts of Bihar at 8:59 PM which lasted for 22 seconds. Besides the state capital Patna, others districts including Bhagalpur, Munger, Araria, Katihar and Kishanganj suffered tremors but it did not cause damage to life and property.
As per reports received here, epicentre was located along Sikkim-Nepal. The tremor was also felt in Jharkhand and West Bengal. (UNI)
