Khargone violence: Man missing since riot found dead

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Home Minister and government spokesman Narottam Mishra said on Monday that a corpse, found in Khargone district headquarters during violence that erupted after stone-pelting at a Ram Navami procession, was identified subsequent to lodging of a missing person complaint.
“The body was seized on April 10, autopsy conducted the following day and a homicide case registered. Relatives confirmed that the remains are those of Idris alias Saddam. The cadaver was handed over to kin,” Dr Mishra told the press here.
According to the police, 44 FIRs have been registered and 158 accused individuals have been arrested after the clashes.
The curfew is relaxed from 10am to 12 noon every day to allow people to buy basic necessities.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has assured that the government will take strict action against the perpetrators while the victims will be compensated by the state government. (Inputs from UNI)
