Madhya Pradesh: Electric shock kills 6 in Chhatarpur, CM Shivraj condolences

Chhatarpur: Electrocution claimed six villagers’ lives on Sunday at Mahuajhala village in Bijawar area, law-enforcement authorities said while quoting preliminary reports.
A tank was recently made at an under-construction dwelling and lighting arranged so that water could be brought out easily. An individual suffered an electric shock while doing so. Relatives and acquaintances attempted a rescue but six fatalities occurred in the process.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed grief over the incident.
“I pray for peace to the departed souls and fortitude to the bereaved family for bearing this sorrow,” the senior politician conveyed via social media.
While echoing Mr Chouhan’s sentiments, state Home Minister Narottam Mishra also wished the grievously injured a rapid recovery. (UNI Inputs)
