Navjot Singh Sidhu to be released from jail on Saturday

Chandigarh: Former Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu is scheduled to be released from Patiala jail on Saturday.

The announcement was made on official Twitter handle of Mr. Sidhu @sherryontopp on Friday. The tweet said : 'This is to inform everyone that Sardar Navjot Singh Sidhu will be released from Patiala Jail tomorrow. As informed by the authorities concerned).'

Mr. Sidhu surrendered before the court on May 20 last year and sent to Patiala jail. He was sentenced to one-year imprisonment by Supreme Court in a 1988 road rage case. (UNI)
