Punjab SHOCKER! Akali Dal worker kills mother, Canada-returned daughter before suicide

Chandigarh: A 50-year-old political worker shot dead his mother, Canada-returned daughter and pet dog before committing suicide in Punjab’s Barnala district, police sources said on Sunday.

Akali Dal worker Kulwinder Singh Mann (50), apparently suffering from depression, shot dead his mother Balwant Kaur (85), daughter Nimrat Kaur (21) and their pet before shooting himself with his licensed revolver, police said.

Nimrat was on a vacation from Canada where she had gone for higher studies, and Mann's wife Ramandeep had a narrow escape as she was not at home at the time of the incident.
