Shimla: 21-yr-old restaurant employee attacked by sharp weapons near control room in Mall Road, dies

Shimla: A 21-year old youth died after being attacked by an assailant near the police control room.
 
The victim was an employee of a restaurant on Mall Road in Shimla.
 
Senior Superintendent of Police Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi informed that around 0200 hrs on Monday, Manish, son of Sohan Singh, village Kothi post office Khama Malat Tehsil Kupvi, was found in the pool of blood on the Mall Road.
 
The victim was working at Wake and Wake restaurant. According to the preliminary investigation, the assailant entered the restaurant on The Mall, Shimla, in front of the reporting room and carried out a fatal attack, due to which Manish was badly injured.
 
After the attack, the victim ran towards the police assistance room to save his life and also brought the sharp weapons (Gandada), with which he was attacked.
 
It is learned that victim Manish broke the glass door of the officer's room in the police assistance room with the weapons in his hand to alarm the police personnel.
 
Police control room employees found an injured Manish standing on the road in front of the assistance room. He fell, and the police immediately picked him up, covered him with a blanket, and put him in the vehicle.
 
He succumbed to injuries at IGMC during the treatment. A police investigation officer from Sadar Shimla immediately rushed to the spot, cordoned the site of the crime, and collected the samples and testimonies from the spot.
