UP eases COVID restrictions; Malls, restaurants to open with 50 % capacity

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government has further relaxed the Corona curfew in the state from Monday with opening of Malls and street shops, full attendance in government offices and extending the opening of the markets from 0700 hours to 2100 hours from Monday to Friday.

However, the government guidelines issued on late Saturday night by state chief secretary R K Tiwari made it clear that all relaxation will be withdrawn immediately, in a district if the number of active cases exceed 500 mark.

Educational institutions, cinema halls, clubs, swimming pools and Gym would remain closed till further orders.

According to the fresh guidelines to be enforced from tomorrow, all the markets will open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm from Monday to Friday.

Government offices will open with full attendance while restaurant eating points will open with 50 per cent capacity.

 The government has permitted to open malls and permission has been given to eat while standing in sweets, street food, fast food shops.

Vegetable market will remain open as before.

In closed places and open places, only 50 guests will be allowed at a time in marriage and in religious places, not more than 50 devotees could gather at one place inside the premises.

Monuments, parks, zoos will be allowed to be opened at a predetermined time.

Conditional railway station, airport and roadways bus service will be established.

Two wheelers will be allowed to run according to the prescribed seat capacity.

Schools, colleges, educational institutions will remain closed for teaching work.

Cinema Hall Stadium Swimming Pool Gym will remain closed till further orders.

If the total number of active corona patients in a district exceeds 500, then the relaxation in corona curfew will automatically end in that district and all other activities will be banned. (UNI)
