Itanagar:A wild elephant has wreaked havoc in Doimara area of West Kameng district on Arunachal Pradesh-Assam boundary, damaging the various infrastructure on Sunday night. The pachyderm damaged the Kamengbari-Doimara Circle Officer's office building and a house in the Doimara village, and partially damaged the village Gonpa, official sources said on Monday. Later, the elephant was chased away by the villagers but the fear of recurrence of such incidents looms as wildlife is very active in the Kamengbari-Doimara circle. Following the incident, a Committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the CO, Kamengbari-Doimara in order to assess the extent of property damage and submit the damage report to the state government, sources added.
