Match fixing case: Telangana Cricket Association officials to meet Amit Shah to seek further investigation by CBI against Azharuddin

Hyderabad: Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) President Yendala Laxminarayana on Sunday announced that the TCA officials will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah to seek further investigation by the CBI on the match fixing case against former Team India Capitan Mohammed Azharuddin.
Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Laxminarayana warned Mr Azharuddin that he should refrain from interfering in the TCA matters and stop his false claims on Districts Cricket development.
He said the further Investigation by the CBI as per the last paused report’s closing notes of premier investigative agency is still pending and the case needs to be chargesheeted by the CBI.
Mr Laxminarayana stated we will meet Mr Shah to seek orders to further investigate and filing the chargesheet by the CBI in the entire match fixing matter.
The TCS President said Azharuddin has got only a temporary relief and managed to get permission to contest in the HCA election but has not been acquitted from the allegations of match fixing.
In the investigation conducted by CBI, Azharuddin had allegedly admitted to having fixed matches for money with bookies and involving his co-cricketers, he said, adding that the matter is supposed to be further deeply investigated and appropriate action should be taken against the culprits involved in fixing the matches.
