WI win toss, opts to bat against India

HyderabadWest Indies won the toss and opted to bat in the second and final test against India being played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal here on Friday.Windies ploy was to try and win the second test after a dismal show in the first test held in Rajkot.
   
   
Indian Skipper Virat Kohli on Thursday said Indian youngsters are better equipped to cope with the rigours of world cricket now. The Indian team comprises the lights of Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shah who have made their debuts recently. 
        
Team India fast bowler Shardul Thakur  has been handed the Test Cap and making his debut at his home ground. He becomes the 294th player to represent Team India in Tests, a tweet from BCCI said.Kohli expressed his confidence on the youngsters performing well in the second test.
       
India:  KL Rahul,  Prithvi Shaw,  Cheteshwar Pujara,  Virat Kohli (c.),  Ajinkya Rahane,  Rishabh Pant (wk),  R Ashwin,  Ravindra Jadeja,  Umesh Yadav,  Kuldeep Yadav and Shardul Thakur.
       
West Indies :  Kraigg Brathwaite,  Kieran Powell,  Shai Hope,  Sunil Ambris,  Shimron Hetmeyer,  Roston Chase,  Shane Dowrich (wk),  Jason Holder (c), Devendra Bishoo, Jomel Warrican and Shannon Gabriel.
      
West Indies' last three Tests in India have lasted a total of nine days and 720.5 overs. All three have been innings defeats.
       
Since 2016, India have scored eight scores of 600 or more, two more than the rest of the world put together.As many as 1,500 police personnel were deployed  for security.(UNI)
