The incident took place on Sunday night, and a video of which has gone viral on social media, prompting Bidadi police to take cognisance of it and pursue the matter.
The deceased has been identified as Praveen Kumar. According to police, a scuffle ensued between the employee and accused persons over toll fee, which ended up in Praveen's murder.
As the employee was getting beaten up, the people present there were mute spectators, and the entire assault was captured on CCTV installed at the crime spot.
The accused did not stop beating Praveen as he was bludgeoned apparently with an object and later he succumbed to injuries later.
The accused are absconding, and the police have launched a hunt for them. (UNI)
