A surprising yet shocking case has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Lalitpur district. An elderly man’s wife ran away with her 30-year-old lover and took the daughters-in-laws’ jewellery along with her.

The incident took place in Sankarwar Kala village in the Jakhora police station area, where Hariram Pal was left shocked after his wife Bhagwati suddenly went missing. Later, it was found that she ran away with a youth named Krishnapal Jha (30), who belongs to the same village.

Not just that, Bhagwati also took away jewellery belonging to the four daughters-in-law of the family. The whole family is deeply disturbed by the incident.

Husband Files Complaint In Police Station, Then Sent A Letter to CM Yogi
Hariram first filed a complaint at Jakhora police station, but when no action was taken, he wrote a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, seeking for justice. Hariram alleges that his wife was lured by Krishnapal Jha.

Wife Missing for 2 Months

Hariram shared that his wife had been missing for about two months. At first, the family thought she had gone to visit relatives. But when there was no news from her and the daughters-in-law's jewellery also went missing, they started suspecting something was wrong.

Daughters-in-law Shocked and Embarrassed

There are four daughters-in-law in Hariram’s house. When they found out their mother-in-law had not only run away with her lover but had also stolen their jewellery, they were shocked and saddened. One of them said, "We can't believe this has happened. It's a big shock for us and also a matter of shame in society."

Police Say Woman Left of Her Own Will

On the other hand, the police say the woman came to the station herself a few weeks ago. She told the officers that she does not want to live with her husband and family anymore. Since Bhagwati is an adult and made the decision on her own, the police said they could not take any legal action.

Now Waiting for Justice from the Chief Minister

Now, Hariram has reached the office of the Lalitpur Superintendent of Police and submitted a letter addressed to CM Yogi Adityanath. He has requested an investigation and asked that his wife be brought back. He said this is not just about his wife, but about the theft of jewellery, which is a serious crime. He wants the police to take strict action in the matter. Hariram emotionally added, “At this age, I have no support left. My daughters-in-law have also gone to their maternal homes. The house is now empty.”
