Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur is left shocked by a bizarre 'Chaddi Chor' gang. The notorious gang reportedly steals women's undergarments left out in the balconies of the houses to dry.
As per reports, the recent theft occurred at two places in Jabalpur, Vijaynagar (Urban) and Panagar (rural).
The matter came to light after a woman lodged a complaint with police after being disturbed by frequent thefts.
Sunita Kori, from Bilgawan village of Panagar police station area of Jabalpur, along with other villagers lodged a complaint that the thief stole many clothes in a single night.
According to Panagar police station in-charge Ajay Singh, police have arrested one of the gang members, Vijay Thakur alias Lalu Thakur after the complaint.
During interrogation, the accused said he tears off and throws the undergarments away after stealing.
Police have recovered many stolen clothes from the accused. Many other cases have been registered against the accused in the past.
In a similar case, CCTV footage from Vijayanagar police station area has also surfaced in which a masked thief was seen stealing undergarment.
