COVID-19: India logs 12,249 new cases in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: A total of 12,249 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in India during the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,33,31,645 while the death toll rose to 5,24,903 as 13 more succumbed to the disease.
On a positive note, 9,862 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,27,25,055. The recovery rate stands at 98.60 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 81,687, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 85.88 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 196.45 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
