COVID-19: India logs 2.34L new cases, over 75% adults fully vaccinated now

New Delhi: India recorded 2,34,281 new Covid-19 cases and 893 deaths, the Union Health Ministry data said on Sunday.
As per the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,10,92,522, while the death toll rose to 4,94,091.
The recovery tally rose to 3,87,13,494 as 3,52,784 people were cured of the disease. The recovery rate stands at 94.21 per cent.
The total active cases in the country stood at 18,84,937.
As per the bulletin, 72.73 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. India has administered 165.70 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in a tweet said, "Over 75 per cent of the eligible population of the country were fully vaccinated. With everyone's effort we will defeat Covid-19." (UNI)
