COVID-19: India records 13,086 new infections, 18% fewer than yesterday

New Delhi: India recorded 13,086 new Covid-19 cases, taking the tally of active caseload to 1,14,475, as per the Union Health Ministry data on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the total caseload rose to 4,35,18,564, while the death toll rose to 5,25,242 as 19 more people succumbed to the disease.

Total 12,456 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,28,91,933, whereas the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.53 per cent.

According to the bulletin, 86.44 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 4,51,312 tests have been conducted.

"India has administered 198.09 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said. (UNI)
