COVID-19: India reports more than 20,000 new cases, active caseload crosses 1,46L

New Delhi: India registered 20,557 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
According to the Health Ministry bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,39,59,321 while the death toll rose to 5,26,211 after 44 more people succumbed to the disease.
Meanwhile, 19,216 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally of recoveries to 4,32,86,787. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.47 per cent.
The active caseload currently stands at 1,46,323, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 87.40 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 203.21 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
