CBI register cases, conduct raids in Tamil Nadu following Interpol inputs from Germany about Child pornography

Chennai: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against a person in Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu and unknown others on charges of indulging in child pornography following inputs received from Germany through Interpol channels.
CBI sources here today said the cases were registered on the allegations of sharing, collecting, seeking, browsing, downloading, exchanging or distributing material depicting children in sexually explicit act, etc., in electronic form.
The inputs were received through Interpol channels from Germany, sharing information on one “Sam John”, a resident of India, for illegal possession of child pornography.
It was alleged that the role of an Indian National, Raja Subramanian alias Sam John alias Adithya Karigalan, a resident of Manapparai in Tiruchirappalli district came in sharing child pornography material via an online file sharing platform to a German National operating from Germany.
Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused in Manapparai which led to the recovery of incriminating evidence consisting of external hard disc, laptop & mobile phone etc.
