Mumbai: A landslide incident took place at Ghatkopar, Panchsheel Nagar in the metropolis here on Tuesday.
Thankfully no casualties was reported thus far, Mumbai Fire Brigade sources said.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rain alert for many areas on the Western coast which include Mumbai, Thane, Ratnagiri among others.
In its 5-day forecast, IMD predicted that heavy to very heavy rains are likely in Mumbai and Thane till Friday.
Heavy rainfall has been lashing the Mumbai and Konkan region since Monday.
Severe water logging was reported between T junction and Kalanagar in Bandra.
The Mumbai City recorded 95.81 mm of rain during the last 12 hours. Meanwhile, the state CM Eknath Shinde has directed officials to keep a vigil and keep the NDRF squads ready.
Mr Shinde held a discussion with Chief Secretary Manukumar Srivastava along with directing all the related districts' guardian secretaries to keep a vigil and control the situation.
