Tamil Nadu Shocker! After gangrape by Krishnagiri school teachers, another case reported from Salem; now science teacher arrested for sexually abusing 10 girl students

The Tamil Nadu Police have arrested a 37-year-old science teacher from a government school at Yercaud in Salem district for sexually abusing ten female students.

The accused was charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

The incident came to light after one of the victims informed the school's headmistress, who reported the matter to the Education Department and the District Child Protection Unit.
Preliminary inquiries confirmed that the teacher had abused ten students, leading to the teacher's arrest. Further investigations are underway.

This incident is not isolated, as a similar case was reported in Krishnagiri District, where three government school teachers were arrested for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

The crime was only discovered when some schoolteachers visited the girl's home to enquire about her prolonged absence, and she disclosed the sexual assault.

The school's headmistress and the Block Education Officer filed a complaint, leading to the arrest of the three accused teachers.
