WATCH - Army helicopter carrying CDS Bipin Rawat, wife crashes in Tamil Nadu

An IAF Mi-17V5 helicopter, with CDS General Bipin Rawat on board, met with an accident on Wednesday near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu.

Bipin Rawat’s staff and some family members were also in the chopper.

Defence sources said 14 people were in the ill-fated helicopter which was heading to Wellingdon from Sulur.

An Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident, Indian Air Force said. (Inputs from ANI)
