Earlier, also Chief Minister has incurred a huge amount for his luxury and family when thousands of people have been under severe financial crisis.
He observed that the administration has been stagnant and the development activities in the state are suspended for the past few months due to large scale dissidence against Chief Minister Deb. The confusion continued over the expansion of the cabinet and change of guard in the Tripura government. Even the regular functioning of the government has been affected badly because of political instability.
Besides, the crisis of work and employment across the state, criminal activities have increased manifold, which raised an eyebrow among the common people. Not only is the civil administration, even police, also not taking swift action against the criminals until confirming the dissociation of ruling BJP into the crime, but he also stated.
Roy observed that illicit drug trafficking and paddling of narcotics have become a common menace in most of the urban areas including the capital city. The Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has confined everything into his clutch, no other minister or MLA can do anything for the development of their respective department.
“The OSD of Deputy Chief Minister - a senior civil service officer and his wife have been assaulted by the ruling party goon with the help of an engineer close to Chief Minister last week. Despite registering cases, police are not able to arrest the culprits, which spreads tension in the state,” Roy said, adding that there is no rule of law and fundamental rights of the people under Biplab Deb’s regime.
He further mentioned Raj Bhawan has been facing multiple problems, as Chief Minister is not providing due privileges and facilities to the Governor including an exclusive Principal Secretary. (UNI)
