Wrestler 'The Great Khali' joins BJP ahead of Punjab polls

New Delhi: Ahead of the Assembly polls in Punjab, wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as 'The Great Khali,' on Thursday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Khali joined BJP at the party headquarters here, in presence of Union Minister Jitendra Singh, party's General Secretary Arun Singh and others.
"We welcome him to BJP. I feel his joining will further strengthen the party," the Minister said, adding that it will inspire the youth to join the saffron party.

Khali said he was inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "Our country has got the right Prime Minister, as he has done various works for the people of the country. So, I have decided to be a part of it and joined BJP," he said.
Assembly elections in Punjab will be held in a single phase on February 20. (UNI)
