India records 13,272 new COVID cases and 36 casualities

New Delhi: A total of 13,272 people tested positive for Covid-19 in India, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.The total caseload rose to 4,43,27,890 while the death toll touched 5,27,289 as 36 more succumbed to the disease.
On a positive note, 13,900 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,36,99,435. The recovery rate stands at 98.58 per cent.
The active cases stands at 1,01,166, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin issued by the Ministry, 88.21 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 209.40 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.(UNI)
